September/October

It's been quite a long time since I last posted. Having 2 kids really keeps me busy. Here's an update on everything...Julianna just turned 3 months today and is finally sleeping through the night!! She's starting to smile and coo a ton which is really sweet. She's an incredibly good baby. Jackson is continuing to do well in school and is 100% potty trained! He's been fully out of pull-ups for the last month, but occassionally having accidents while at school. For the last two weeks he hasn't had any accidents and is doing really well. Another big thing that happened recently was Jey turning 30!! I really can't believe that he's 30 and I don't think he can either. We celebrated his 30th in Virginia at my parents with a lot of out of town guests who drove into town to meet Julianna and help celebrate Jey moving into his 30's!! We all had a great time, although I did get sick. :( In September we took Jackson to the Georgia Aquarium and he loved it, now if only we could get some pretty weather on the weekend to take the kids to the zoo.

OUR TWO LITTLE BEANS!!

I just wanted to post some pictures of Jackson and Julianna over the last few weeks. Just when I think we are getting a good system down here at the house with both kids, one of them throws me for a loop. Eventually, I just know things will calm down and everything will be smooth sailing! Enjoy the pictures!!

4th of July

This 4th of July Jey and I actually went to dinner KID FREE! Jackson's grandparents watched him as we enjoyed a quiet dinner, which we really needed. After dinner we went back to their neighborhood to watch the fireworks show. The best part of the night was Jackson and Hayden being able to play together. Two peas in a pod!! As you can see in the picture they were curled into the arms of Mike because they were both scared of the noise. Very cute!

HAYDEN TURNS 3!!

Hayden had quite the "Thomas the Train" birthday weekend! Saturday night Aunt Steffy and Uncle Mike took both Hayden and Jackson to the Fox Theater to see Thomas Live! and then Hayden had a big Thomas birthday party on Sunday. Thomas was EVERYWHERE and all the kids seemed to have a great time.

BABYSITTING AUBRINA!!

The night that the boys went to see Thomas Live, Jey and I babysat Aubrey. We had such a great time with her. She is seriously probably the BEST baby I have ever met and lucky for us she just happens to be our niece. She never cried or screamed and was so content with whatever we decided to do. We took her on a walk, which she loved and played with her all night. I did make her mad just once that night when I was putting her to bed. I screwed up her bedtime routine and she made sure I knew that she did not like it nor appreciate it! Once we called Mike to figure out exactly what to do, she was happy as a clam again and fell right asleep. What a peanut she is!!

Hilton Head, SC

Last weekend we ventured to Hilton Head, SC for a quick getaway. The weather was, to me unbearable...about 95 degrees both days! Jackson at his age finally really enjoyed the beach, sand and water. Jey taught him how to build a sandcastle and a little bit of what we like to call "swimming." Jackson was also taught a lesson in sunburn! Of course, we had him covered in sunscreen 50+ but Jey and I thought it would be "so nice to get a little color on our skin" so we didn't put any sunscreen on and a short 4 hours later, we were blistered!! Yes, literally lobster red and blistered! The pain was so intense I was popping 1000 mg of tylenol to stop the pain just so I could stand and sleep. The whole night Jackson would come up to me and touch my skin and say "oh hot Mommy, it hurts so bad!" :) Looking back now it was hilarious that even he knew how much pain we were in!! I have to say though now that the layers of skin have finally peeled, my skin is TAN!! Goal accomplished!
